The Updated Dragonsplague Afflictions in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Capcom recently announced that they are planning to make significant changes to Dragonsplague afflictions in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This decision was made in response to player feedback, with a focus on improving the overall gameplay experience. The studio highlighted Dragonsplague tweaks as a top priority for the game’s upcoming major update, along with fixes for minor issues and adjustments to Pawn behavior.

One of the key changes that players can expect in the next update is a reduction in the infection frequency of Dragonsplague. This will make the experience more manageable for players, as they will encounter fewer instances of the affliction. Additionally, Capcom will be adjusting the signs of Pawns infected with Dragonsplague to be more noticeable. For example, infected Pawns will now have more prominent glowing eyes, making it easier for players to identify them.

Players have expressed concerns about recruiting other player’s Pawns in fear of them being infected with Dragonsplague. While this risk still exists, the upcoming update will introduce more obvious signs of infection, alleviating some of the anxiety surrounding infected Pawns. Furthermore, there will be fewer infected Pawns in the Rift, reducing the overall impact of Dragonsplague on gameplay.

Although the changes will make Dragonsplague more manageable, it will still pose a challenge for players. When encountering an infected Pawn, players will need to take decisive steps to address their condition before they “explode” and cause harm to nearby towns. Options for dealing with infected Pawns include dismissing them, allowing them to die in battle, or purposefully killing them by various means.

In addition to addressing Dragonsplague concerns, the next patch for Dragon’s Dogma 2 will introduce enhancements such as zooming options for Arisen and Pawn faces. The update will also address issues related to the game’s mini-map, escort quests, and jail. Furthermore, Capcom will be adjusting Pawn behavior and dialogue to make them more intelligent and less prone to silly deaths.

The updated version of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is scheduled to be released for PC and consoles in April 2024. The exact release date has not been confirmed yet, as the development team continues to work on finalizing tweaks and fixes. Players are encouraged to stay tuned for more information on the upcoming update.

By addressing player feedback and implementing significant changes to Dragonsplague afflictions, Capcom aims to enhance the overall gameplay experience of Dragon’s Dogma 2. With the upcoming update, players can look forward to a more engaging and immersive gaming experience.
