Fortnite fans were thrilled with the recent announcement from Disney’s D23 event regarding Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. The upcoming season, starting on August 16, will be Marvel-focused, aptly named Absolute Doom. This new season promises a battle pass filled with Marvel skins, including the exciting addition of a new character called Peelverine, a Marvel twist on the classic Peely skin.
The battle pass for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 will feature a lineup of iconic Marvel characters. From Gwenpool as an instant unlock to Doctor Doom as a mid-season unlock, players can expect a variety of skins to unlock as they level up. Additionally, the introduction of new Marvel powers adds a dynamic element to gameplay, incorporating abilities such as Shuri’s claws, War Machine’s weapon rig, and Captain America’s Shield. However, the absence of the Fantastic Four in the reveal has left fans speculating on potential future additions.
In addition to the Marvel-themed content, Disney’s D23 event also unveiled collaborations with Disney and Pixar franchises. Classic Disney animated villains such as Cruella DeVille, Captain Hook, and Maleficent are set to join Fortnite as skins, hinting at a fall release. Furthermore, Fortnite will be receiving its first Pixar skins through a collaboration with The Incredibles, adding a new layer of excitement for players.
While some players may be disappointed by the shift to battle pass exclusivity for certain skins, there is still plenty to look forward to. On August 12, skins for IG-11 and Moff Gideon will be added to the item shop, providing new options for players. Additionally, a new Grogu back bling will be available for those who missed out on the previous one, offering a chance to enhance their Fortnite experience.
