Temtem, the popular Pokémon-like online game, has recently announced the final major updates for the game. Developer Crema has unveiled Patch 1.7 and Patch 1.8 as the last major updates for Temtem. Patch 1.7, set to release in early June, will include a new season, a new Tamer Pass, balance changes, quality of life updates, and more. On the other hand, Patch 1.8 will bring additional QoL updates, balance changes, a renovation and rework of the game’s economy, and some other new features.
One of the most significant changes coming with the upcoming updates is the removal of monetisation. In Patch 1.7, microtransactions will be eliminated, and anything that was previously purchasable with ‘Novas’ can now be bought with Feathers. Moreover, in Patch 1.8, players will have the option to choose any Tamer Pass from the past and complete its tracks, unlocking them with Feathers as well. This move aims to make the in-game purchases more accessible and player-friendly.
Despite the final major updates, Temtem’s servers will remain online for the foreseeable future, with no plans for an offline mode. The development team at Crema expressed their excitement about the growth of Temtem and their satisfaction with the final product. While acknowledging that the game has room for improvement, they are proud of the extensive content and enjoyable experience they have created. Temtem, which began on Kickstarter in 2018 and made its way to the Nintendo Switch in 2022, boasts 165 Tems and six expansive islands for players to explore.
Overall, the future of Temtem looks bright with the upcoming updates and the removal of monetisation. The dedication of the developers to provide a fulfilling and engaging gameplay experience is evident in their commitment to improving the game and listening to the feedback of the community. Players can look forward to a more accessible and enjoyable Temtem experience as they embark on new adventures in the vibrant world of the game.
