Fortnite Season 4: Metallica Takes Over Festival

Fortnite Festival Season 4 is about to kick off, and this time, players can expect a major shift in the music genre featured in the game. After three seasons of focusing on pop artists, Harmonix is now embracing a completely new direction by bringing Metallica to the forefront of the Festival. With the launch of Season 4, players can look forward to an array of new skins and cosmetics, especially for fans of the iconic metal band.

The Season 4 pass for Fortnite Festival will continue to offer both free and paid paths for players to choose from. However, one major change this season is the abundance of skins available for those who opt for the premium track of the Festival Pass. Metallica fans will be thrilled to see that all four band members have been transformed into Fortnite outfits. While Lars Ulrich is available immediately upon purchasing the premium track, other members like Kirk Hamett, Robert Trujilio, and James Hetfield can be unlocked as players progress through the season’s challenges.

Premium Features

In addition to the band member skins, players who opt for the premium pass can also enjoy Metallica’s iconic song “One,” which adds an intense challenge to the game with its nearly eight-minute runtime. Furthermore, the pass includes instruments associated with the band, such as Ulrich’s TAMA drum kit and Hammett’s Gibson “Greeny” Les Paul guitar. The premium track of the pass is priced at 1800 V-Bucks (approx. $18), offering a range of exclusive Metallica-themed content.

For players who choose to stick to the free track, there are still exciting rewards to be had. This includes the new Slurp Blaster guitar, as well as new songs added by Epic Games like S.O.M.P., The Night Porter (Winnage), and Dreamer. Additionally, players can claim the Dark Flame Aura and Roundhouse emote, perfect for getting into the festival spirit.

Fortnite Festival Season 4 will introduce a new competitive PvP mode, challenging 16 players to a last-rockstar-standing match. With a four-song setlist, contestants will be eliminated after each song, with the final being a three-player face-off. The Overdrive multiplier feature will allow players to launch attacks at rivals, disrupting their streaks and slowing their scoring. The game will also implement a skill-based matchmaking system to ensure fair competition.

New Shop Offerings

In addition to the Festival Pass rewards, players can find alternative versions of Metallica’s band members in the Item Shop, including the Puppet Master outfits. More Metallica songs will be available for purchase, such as “Enter Sandman,” “Fuel,” “Master of Puppets,” “Ride The Lightning,” “The Unforgiven,” and “Wherever I May Roam.” Epic has also introduced Jam Tracks as Lobby Tracks, allowing players to enjoy a new playlist of songs while waiting between rounds.

Upgrades and Fixes

Alongside the new content, Fortnite Festival Season 4 will bring quality-of-life fixes, Support-A-Creator changes, and adjustments to song gameplay. Players can look forward to a smoother gaming experience with these updates.
