Fans of Marvel and Star Wars have something to look forward to as the second batch of Disney+ shows are now available to preorder on Blu-ray. The new releases, including The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Moon Knight, Star Wars: Andor, and Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi, are all set to arrive on April 30. Fans can now secure their copies with exclusive collectible steelbook packaging and three art cards.
Interestingly, at the time of writing, preorders were only live at Walmart. It is worth noting that the pricing for these shows is a bit unusual as two of them are more expensive on standard Blu-ray compared to their 4K versions. While all the 4K editions are priced at $45 each, offering a $10 discount from previous releases, prices may fluctuate in the upcoming days.
Let’s delve deeper into the content of each of the upcoming releases. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier focuses on the adventures of the duo following their appearance in Avengers: Endgame. The physical release includes a steelbook case, art cards, Cap’s Shield featurette, a gag reel, deleted scenes, and Assembled: The Making of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Both 4K UHD Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray versions are available for preorder, with the 4K edition priced at $45 and the standard version at $40.
Moon Knight, following the footsteps of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, offers a collection in both 4K UHD Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray formats. The release includes the complete first season, a featurette on Egyptian mythology, a documentary on the making of Moon Knight, deleted scenes, a gag reel, and three art cards. The 4K Blu-ray edition is available for preorder at $45, making it more affordable than its standard Blu-ray counterpart currently priced at $49.
Set 10 years after Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi follows the iconic Jedi on new adventures. The 4K UHD Blu-ray and Blu-ray steelbook collections come with a range of featurettes, director’s commentary from Deborah Chow, and a look at the lore behind the Inquisitors and Darth Vader. The release also includes a set of collectible art cards, with the steelbook edition priced at $45 for 4K Blu-ray and $40 for standard Blu-ray.
The final series receiving a physical release is Andor. The 4K UHD and Blu-ray steelbook collections encompass the entire first season along with three art cards and five unique featurettes, including stories of ISB agent Dedra and the origin of the Andor series. Preorders for the 4K Blu-ray edition are available at $45, while the standard Blu-ray version is listed at $49.
