Acer has recently unveiled its newest additions to the gaming laptop market – the Nitro 14, Predator Helios Neo 14, and an updated Nitro 16. With competitive pricing and impressive specs, these laptops are set to rival the likes of Asus and Razer in the gaming world.
The Nitro 14, starting at $1,299.99, boasts an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card, 32GB of LPDDR5X SDRAM, and 1TB of NVME SSD memory. It offers 120Hz G-Sync displays at either 2560 x 1600 or 1920 x 1200 resolution. On the other hand, the higher-end Predator Helios Neo 14, starting at $1,799.99, features an Intel Ultra 9 185H processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, and a choice of three display options with resolution up to 3072 x 1920 at 165Hz.
The updated Nitro 16, priced at $1,399.99, can be configured with an Nvidia RTX 4060 and an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS or Intel Core i7 HX chips. It also offers a choice of display options and up to 2TB of storage and 32GB of DDR5 SDRAM.
Acer’s new gaming laptops come equipped with liquid metal cooling between the CPU and block, which provides better thermal management than traditional thermal paste. Additionally, all laptops feature an Experience Zone with AI-related functions accessible via the NitroSense key and a dedicated Microsoft Copilot key for enhanced gaming experiences.
The Nitro 14, Predator Helios Neo 14, and AMD and Intel versions of the Nitro 16 will be available in North America in May. The EMEA region will see the Nitro 14 and Predator Helios Neo 14 in June 2024, starting at €1,199 each, with the Intel-version Nitro 16 available for €1,599.
