This decision comes after keyboard makers like Razer and Wooting introduced features such as Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions (SOCD) on their keyboards, allowing players to perform actions more easily.

Players who use these keyboard features, such as Snap Tap by Razer or Snappy Tappy by Wooting, will now face consequences in Counter-Strike 2 games. Valve has stated that automation of player actions through scripting or hardware circumvents core skills in the game, and as a result, players suspected of automating multiple actions from a single input may be kicked from their match on Valve Official Servers.

In a test conducted by a senior editor, players using SOCD features were indeed removed from the game on Valve’s official servers. However, there was no account ban implemented at this time. While Valve is banning the use of these keyboard features, it seems that they are not yet prepared to ban accounts for utilizing them.
