The Wild World of Baldur’s Gate 3 Player Experiences

Baldur’s Gate 3, developed by Larian Studios, has taken players on a wild adventure filled with unique and unexpected events. One of the most infamous moments in the game occurs in the Circus of the Last Days in Rivington, where players can be turned into a sentient wheel of cheese with one wrong move. Surprisingly, Larian Studios has confirmed that a staggering 1.9 million players fell victim to this cheesy fate during their gameplay. This left players with a tough choice – either restart the game or navigate through 20 rounds of gameplay as a near-useless 1 HP cheese wheel.

Aside from the cheese incident, Baldur’s Gate 3 has offered players a plethora of exciting and bizarre experiences. For instance, 3.5 million players were transported back in time to encounter packs of roving dinosaurs through an optional side quest. Additionally, 2 million players freed Us, a walking brain, from the Colony. One of the most thrilling moments in the game was when 377,000 Dark Urge players managed to free Alfira and usher in the dawn of lute rock.

In celebrating player accomplishments, Larian Studios revealed some intriguing statistics. Only 141,660 players managed to complete Honour Mode, a challenging campaign featuring stronger bosses, stricter rules, a single save file, and permadeath. On the other hand, 1,223,305 regular players met defeat, with 76% of them opting to delete their save game and start the final battle anew. The game also saw players engaging in romantic pursuits with companions, with Shadowheart being the most-kissed companion, tallying up 27 million kisses. Astarion followed closely behind with 15 million kisses, while Minthara trailed with just 169,937 kisses.

In more intimate statistics, Larian Studios confirmed that 658,000 players had intimate interactions with Halsin, with 30% of them choosing to do so while he was in bear form. Additionally, 1.1 million players engaged in romantic encounters with the tentacle-faced Emperor, with 37% of them exploring the “sensual pleasure of mind flayer tentacles.” On a lighter note, pet dog Scratch has been petted 120 million times, and the Owlbear Cub has received over 41 million pets from players, showcasing a more wholesome side of player interactions in the game.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has provided players with a diverse range of experiences, from challenging gameplay moments to romantic pursuits and whimsical encounters. The game’s unique events and statistics only add to the allure of the world created by Larian Studios, making it a truly unforgettable gaming experience.
