The Return of MultiVersus: A Second Chance for Fans

The Return of MultiVersus: A Second Chance for Fans

MultiVersus, the popular fighting game, is set to make a comeback next week after being in exile for almost a year. The decision to pull the game from sale and shut down its servers left many fans disappointed, especially those who had invested real money into unlocking costumes and other in-game items during the beta phase. However, the developers are now looking to make amends by offering a special deal to beta players.

Player First Games announced that anyone who played MultiVersus’ beta will be able to access the first season’s premium battle pass without having to pay anything. This means that players will have the opportunity to unlock the highly sought-after Jason Voorhees character from Friday the 13th for free, instead of having to spend money to acquire him. Additionally, the developers have promised to include more “high-value” items in both the free and premium passes, including ringouts, alternate characters, taunts, and the in-game currency of Gleamium.

In addition to the premium battle pass, beta players will also receive special rewards, such as a costume for Adventure Time’s Finn the Human and a unique ringout animation. Fans of Adventure Time will be pleased to know that the Banana Guard character will be unlockable through a seven-day tutorial track, with the opportunity to earn Lady Banana Guard as well. Furthermore, players will have the option to switch their announcer to a Banana Guard voice pack, adding a fun and unexpected twist to the game.

To access these rewards, players will need to log in to the free-to-play game between its relaunch date on May 28th and June 11th. Based on early impressions, MultiVersus shows promise as a competitive fighting game on PC, drawing comparisons to popular titles like Super Smash Bros. Fans of Warner Bros IP will likely find even more enjoyment in the game, making it a must-play for enthusiasts of the studio’s diverse range of characters and properties.

Overall, the return of MultiVersus marks a fresh start for the game, offering both new and returning players the chance to experience exciting new content and unlock valuable rewards. With the developers’ commitment to improving the player experience and providing generous incentives, it’s clear that MultiVersus is poised to regain its status as a fan-favorite in the competitive gaming scene.
