Apex Legends Season 21: Everything You Need to Know About Upheaval

Apex Legends Season 21: Everything You Need to Know About Upheaval

Apex Legends Season 21: Upheaval is introducing a new Legend named Alter. Alter is described as a mysterious, dimension-hopping character with a shady past as an interdimensional assassin. She is known for being trained in combat by a secretive organization and is not known for being the most reliable narrator when it comes to her own background. Alter’s abilities in the game include the ability to manipulate reality in various ways, making her a formidable opponent on the battlefield.

Revamped Map and Solos Mode:

One of the major changes in Season 21 is the makeover of the Broken Moon map. The centerpiece POI, Promenade, is being replaced by a new POI called Quarantine Zone. The map now features mutated foliage and a new skybox, reflecting the recent collision with the stasis net satellite. Additionally, a new Solos Mode is making a comeback in Apex Legends, replacing Duos Mode for the first six weeks of Season 21. The mode will come with new features like fully-kitted weapons and a Respawn Token to give players a second chance in the game.

Legend Buffs and Nerfs:

Season 21 will bring changes to Legend abilities, including a reworking of Newcastle’s Castle Wall ultimate ability. Developers noticed that Newcastle players often team up with Wattson players to block bullets and grenades. To make the ability more efficient, developers have decided to allow Castle Wall to block both grenades and bullets. Additionally, Legends like Catalyst and Crypto will receive some buffs this season, while others like Bloodhound, Fuse, and Octane will see minor tweaks. Details on these changes will be revealed in the upcoming Upheaval patch notes.

Apex Legends Season 21: Upheaval is shaping up to be an exciting and dynamic season with the addition of Alter and the return of Solos Mode. The revamped Broken Moon map and changes to Legend abilities promise to deliver a fresh and engaging gameplay experience for both new and returning players. Stay tuned for more updates and patch notes as Season 21 launches on Tuesday, May 7, at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET.
