After years of waiting, Bethesda Game Studios has officially announced the release date for the highly anticipated ‘next gen’ update for Fallout 4. Fans can expect to see the update arrive on April 25, 2024, for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. The best part? The update will be provided free of charge to all original game owners.
The major update for Fallout 4 will bring stable 60FPS gameplay, increased resolutions, and the option to choose between Performance Mode and Quality Mode. In addition to these enhancements, players can look forward to a variety of fixes and improvements to enhance their gaming experience.
PC players will also receive some love with the new update. Widescreen and ultra-widescreen support will be introduced, along with fixes for Creation Kit, quests, stability, and mods. While the full extent of the changes remains unclear, players with a plethora of mods should be cautious.
Bethesda has also confirmed the release of several free Creation Club items at the end of April. This includes a significant quest linked to the Enclave Remnants, workshop items related to The Enclave, a Makeshift Weapon Pack featuring unconventional deadly weapons, and a Halloween Workshop kit with spooky decorations for settlements.
In light of the Fallout TV series on Amazon Prime Video, Bethesda is adding updates to their games. Fallout Shelter players will now find six new vault-dwellers, including characters from the show, and can embark on new questlines inspired by the TV series. Themed weapons and outfits are also available for players to enjoy.
As Bethesda continues to celebrate the launch of Amazon Prime Video’s Fallout TV series, more updates and surprises are expected in the coming weeks. Fans of the Fallout universe have much to look forward to as the celebrations continue.
